1986 Subaru GL Turbo 4WD review from North America

"Goes anywhere and I can trust it to get me back"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Not much at all has gone wrong with this car. There is a hose that goes from the thermostat housing to the intake manifold broke and that was a pain to replace. My friend broke my Mass air flow sensor on my birthday. Ha Ha, happy birthday to me. Right before I got it the place replaced the timing belts and it drinks about 1/4 quart every 300 miles and when its cold the HLAs like to tick really loud, but that stops after like 5 min.

General comments?

This car is built like a tank I bought 2.5 to 3 months ago and put 5,000 miles on it and I'm really hard on stuff being a pizza delivery boy and all. I Would buy this car again in a heart beat. Its doesn't do that good on gas though gets like 23 when I'm really nice when I am floored most if the time it gets like 18 MPG the 4x4 works great and has gotten me out of a few tight spots it does need a new clutch though, but it doesn't slip yet. It gets up and moves pretty quick after 3,000 rpm, but until then its sluggish when the turbo kicks in you can feel it. The AC still works! But the AC pump slows the car down massively. I paid 500 bucks and I still don't regret it. And its really safe in 1986 it has 4 wheel disk, but it doesn't like to slow from 105 mph :)
