1989 Subaru GL review from North America
"Rose Nilian is the best subaru ever. she's slow, but cute"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Leaks a little oil, rusts out badly. they all do.
General comments?
This thing is a beast. It replaced a 84 300D mercedes with a zillion miles on it. I needed a 4wd, and something that it's heater actually blew hot air during winter months. This car is awesome. SLOW, but faster than a diesel, but it's tolerable. I don't think i'll ever win any race, anywhere. It's tires look like they came from a go-cart, and they have probably been installed on a go-cart at some point in time. It handles really well though. If you can find one without holes all over it or over 200K, buy it, drive it, love it, kill it when it's time has come to die.
