1985 Subaru GL review from North America
"An awesome value"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Axle boots went out every 65,000 or so
Clutch went out every 100,000 depending on how hard I was on it
Seats started wearing out at about 102,000
and finally the alternator went out at 340,124
timing belts every 70,000.
General comments?
I love this car it was wonderful to drive. I am going to miss it a lot its just not worth spending the 2000 on a new engine.
This car was my best friend I never replaced anything the starter, a/c still had a great charge of r-12 freon radiator.
