1998 Subaru Impreza 2000 Turbo AWD review from UK and Ireland
"Awesome Jap raw performance!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I popped a tyre by hitting a kerb. My fault cost me £83 for a new tyre.
That's it so far. Touch wood.
General comments?
This car is truly awesome. I have a MY98 with AC and Sunroof.
The performance is breath taking. Look greats, goes like stink, and handles amazingly especially in the wet.
Great car sadly you'll need a tracker fitted for insurance and Full Subaru servicing is required to keep up its great reliability.
Lots of Jap imports around, but I went for a UK for insurance reasons.
Fuel consumption is terrible when the car is driven how it should be ;-) on a UK car I recommend Super Unleaded or Optimax. Don’t use normal Unleaded 95.
Downside.
Fuel Consumption (240 miles to £38 using Super Unleaded)
Insurance (£1000 +)
Servicing (£700 pa on average)
Kev's in Nova's constantly wanting to race you.
