It's a dream to own if you want one get one you won't regret it.
Yes nice car, but everyone has got one and half the price two years later and there is always a better model coming out every twelve months, for excessive power, acceleration, speed and wonerful sideways fun, do yourself a favor sell the scooby, spend that bit more and get a TVR.................EX sti owner
My Impetza would laugh at the TVR now because I have got nos on it now and it has 558bhp with nos I had a 250bhp kit put on. Now deal with that!
Yeah right, you can't spell Impreza (not impreTza) let alone own one, or fErrari for that matter.
Type R's only do 148 mph due a different gear ratio, to get it to go 160+ you have to remove the rev limiter, if you then add NOs you would be sweeping up your engine and gearbox off the tarmac.
I have never heard of NOs installers that are stupid enough to put a 250 shot of NOs on a boxer engine, or even advise you to do it. 50 is common, 100 is rare, anything else is stupid.
Stop dreaming, you are comical, I bet you are 16!!!

Personnally I love TVR's, no turbo's, fantastic looks and interiors and stonking performance... however there is a big reason I would never own one and that is reliabilty.
What you get with the scooby and most other japanese performance cars is just that reliability, no matter how much you thrash em/tune em. I was actually warned about getting a TVR by an ex TVR dealer. Just hope the new ownership at TVR sorts that issue out so people like me feel confident in buying one in future, without the risk of constantly visiting a gargage to get it fixed.
I myself love tvrs, but how can you compare it to a scooby, for a start trvs are about as reliable as your drunken best mate, my cousin own two and spent most of there time in the garage, I own a scooby 96 2000 turbo and with fsh has never had a major problem and at 98000 mile every things still as tight as a nuns bum, although I think a new clutch is due,but can't moan at that.
I drive a mk4 golf v6 4motion.my mate drives a scoopy typ r.i haven't raced him yet. dose any know what car will win as we'r going from london to
folkstone latter.

Well if you're driving from city to city, that would depend on who drives the most clever, traffic anticipation etc. Short term on clear roads, straight or twisty, the scooby would kill it.
Hi, I recently brought a Subaru Type R on an R plate, and I think it's a perfect car to drive if you don't mind the way it drinks petrol. Comparing it to a TVR, I think a scooby is better cause you can use in daily life, rather than a weekend car..
About the V6 4 motion; I think it's not comparable, the scooby is better.

Good comment spot on.
Nice to hear facts and not lies.

Whats all this about Type R only does 148mph? I'm running a Type R v5 and nothing has been done to the car at all, and it's running at 308bhp and does 155mph.
I did own a Type R myself. It was lovely car, but it blew 3 engines in 2 years and I wasn't that hard on it. I think anyone that had one has gone through at least one engine. Such a pity because I would love another one.
