2006 Subaru Legacy Limited Wagon review from North America

At 10K miles the right windshield wiper arm became loose after heavy rain and snow and then freezing temperature for some days.Just nothing. Was fixed at local dealership in less than 30 minutes.

So far I love it!!! Sweet and smooth ride. Great relaxing leather seats never gave me a back problem even during driving many hours. Enormous sunroof absolutely nice for cooling inside and getting fresh air when you're driving somewhere outside of city and big highways and roads. The stereo in my limited edition legacy is outstanding by providing loud and clear sound of any type of music from classic to electronic progressive house and rock. Handling along with AWD knocked out all other test driven competitors considered for buying like Mazda 6, Hyundai Sonata, Honda Accord and Camry before I purchased my Subie. Full time AWD makes Subaru perfect car in winter. You should see my driveway this winter which I almost never cleaned and never had a problem to get out pressed ice compearing to my neighbors who were polishing ice trying to move theirs cars. Also my favorite things are sportshift that allows to do manual shifting and dual climate control.

One thing that Subaru needs to improve the 4 speed automatic transmission. Sometime tranny lags to switch into correct gear, so very helpful for me is sportshift if I need instant acceleration. The car definitely needs 5 speed automatic transmission or even better CVT (Continuously variable transmission). CVT rocks now and Subaru should not delay to implement it.
