1995 Subaru Legacy review from North America
"Can't say enough, great car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Cv joints have gone out three times.
Rusts on the corners of the front doors
also rusts on the trunk door.
Tranny went out at 197000 miles.
General comments?
My 1995 subaru Legacy L 4dr sedan made me fall in love with subaru. I drive vehicles hard, and it has kept up with me for three solid years. Whether it was going out on a frozen over river covered in snow and it cleared the snow, or going down to river bottems and keeping up with my friends Chevy Blazer, this thing did everything. keep in mind it is also a two wheel drive vehicle, and it still plowed through whatever you wanted it to.
Extremely reliable, if something is going out on it, it never goes out quickly. all that really went out on her was the cv joints, which would make plenty of noise for two or three months before going out, or the tranny, which drove me the two hours home from college and around college and I still drive it when I come home. I plan on either replacing the tranny replacing the car with another subaru. Probably replacing the tranny because the engine is still quite solid and will take another couple years of me beating on it before it finally goes out. I think its worth it.
