1995 Subaru Legacy GT review from UK and Ireland
"Fast and roomy"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Water temperature gauge faulty. Screen washer pumps both faulty and needed changing. Smell of oil burning from exhaust tail pipe after a good hot run, was not thrashing engine. A Check engine light lights up on the dash every now and again. Intermittent poor idle when hot. Poor and un smooth acceleration with a "jolting" like something is wrong with timing or ignition lead shorting out and very anoying.
General comments?
Pretty fast in a straight line, but nothing really spectacular by today's standards. Some hot modded hatch backs will leave you behind on some bends and also on braking your at a disadvantage with the standard brakes, like I said this is not really the best road racing car around, Not a super car on the bends - handling is not good for a car with 260 bhp the GT -B is the one to have if you want better handling some extra oomph. The LEGGY TT leaves many cars standing from still in the wet though thanks to the AWD. Comfortable seats and a nice drive.
