1998 Subaru Legacy Outback Limited review from North America
"Not as reliable as other japanese cars"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
In the past two years and 20000 miles of driving the car,
other than regulaar maintenance, I have had to fix the exhaust assembly ($400.00) and now I have a rapid coolant loss from my radiator. It is with the mechanic right now and I may have irreparable engine damage. This car has given me and my brother (owner of another same car) constant trouble- every few months.
Another legacy wagon that I had got inspected at 90k miles and 8 years old was worse off than a toyota corolla with 175k miles (10 years old) on it.
