1995 Subaru Legacy L review from North America
"Great reliable point A to point B car; Great Gas MPG"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Bought the car for $900 bucks knowing it needed some work. I spent about $1500 getting several things fixed/rebuilt such as head gasket, water pump, Radiator etc.
Replaced brakes and all tires when purchased, which I might add was pretty cheap compared to other cars.
83k and still running strong.
General comments?
I owned a V6 Altima; very quick car. I gave it up to pay back college loans and settled for a Subaru Legacy L Sedan.
I have to say I am very impressed, the car starts right up in cold weather, drives great. No problem doing 70-80mph on expressway.
Gas mileage is great for this recession we are having. I get anywhere from 25-34 mpg. I do city and highway driving so it's hard to tell.
Overall I am happy with my purchased, and if anybody is debating whether they should get this car, you will not be disappointed.
Mechanical fixing this car is fairly cheap, and supposedly the engine in this car, I believe it's the 2.2, is one of the best engines Subaru has ever made till this day.
It's not the fastest car in the world, but if you're looking for a reliable point A to point B car, this is it. If your looking for 0-60 in 5 seconds, go for a turbo rice rocket that would be in the shop more than on the road.
