2000 Subaru Legacy B4 RSK Blitzen review from Australia and New Zealand
"Out of this world. I'm a Subaru fan for life now"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Top tank of radiator sprung a leak. Apparently this is a common fault. Easily fixed with a $10 bottle of sealer, and a coolant flush and change on a Sunday afternoon.
Front suspension has knocking noise. Yet to find out the problem and cost.
Cam belt change soon, due to the engine setup this can be an expensive operation. Best to replace serviceable parts at this time to save on labour costs in the future.
i was quoted $600 for cambelt and water pump.
General comments?
This is my first Subaru purchase, have always been a Toyota fan.
Great car, handles like a sports car and beautiful to drive on the open road. Very hard to resist the temptation to put your foot down and go for it.
Have noticed fuel usage is not as bad as first thought. City driving I am achieving around 8.2 litres per 100 KMs.
Interior quality is a let down as some parts seem like they will break easily, but everything is still working at the moment. I have the leather interior package, and the seats are very durable and comfortable.
Even though the design of the car is over 10 years old, it still turns heads.
