1990 Subaru Legacy RS review from Australia and New Zealand
"Just like any other performance car out there unless you have a fat wallet to afford prestigious car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Inner CV joint broke when I first purchased the car. After a few months the fuel pump died on me and apart from this, in the last year and a half only the radiator has leaked.
Apart from that, if you maintain the car properly and have it serviced regularly with synthetic oil, it hardly gives you any problems apart from normal wear and tear, just like any other performance car out there.
All cars give you problems at some stage or another. Mine does however use up a lot of oil which I have diagnosed to be because of the rings and bearings. Apart from that, I love this car!
General comments?
This car is very fast and you need to learn about your car before you start treating it like a toy. It takes a while to judge how good your car will handle corners and also the fact whether you as a driver can actually handle the extra power especially if you have upgraded to a much faster car than what you might have owned prior to getting your new fast car!
This is not, and I repeat not like a computer game where cars are just on the television screen and not the real thing! I hope drivers out there can really appreciate this point!
