1997 Subaru Legacy Outback review from North America
"A car alternative to a SUV, without the power to get you going"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
At 60200 miles my alternator died. Since then I have had lots of problems.
My CHECK ENGINE light is on, my mechanic says it's because of a misfiring piston. This is now pretty audible from the exhaust.
I'm also having problems with my headlight fuse going out 10 minutes after I replace it.
General comments?
The seats are really comfortable, especially with the winter package that warms your posterior.
The dash layout is very bland, yet functional.
The car could use more power.
