This car has been a complete surprise. It has performed beyond expectation each mile I have owned it. I also have a BMW that came with the "Ultimate Driving Machine" tag line leaving little room for being impressed; it's fine, but not quite ultimate, and when it breaks, it is apocolyptic.
Twisty mountain roads in the summertime gave me the first surprise regarding the all-wheel drive system. It was so able to grip the dry corners under power (for what it is originally presented as) that I had to return to my dealer and ask why that was not mentioned in the pitch. They said they like to see the responses when customers return.
I know how you feel, I take mine into the mountains of utah and it just climbs! 15% grades are not a problem. The legacy really is just a great car.
