1998 Subaru Legacy GTB Wagon review from Australia and New Zealand
"Quick Big car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Air condition unit failed twice. The unit is very fragile. The first unit failed on the temperature dial and the second unit failed on the OFF/ AUTO buttons. Wind noise and rattle from the back.
General comments?
The car is brilliant considering the performance and handling. Its very comfortable and spacious too. However, the Air Con unit is just hopeless and very expensive to get it replace or fixed. I have replaced 2 units since I got it 8 months ago and they are very expensive and very hard to find (because of the high demand?)
The petrol is just alright for its size and weight.
Another problem is the back seat. The middle passenger seat on the back is horrible to sit on especially for long trip.
Overall, if there is no problem on the air con, I will score this car a very high marks.
