1990 Subaru Liberty GX Wagon review from Australia and New Zealand
"Great car for cruising, can carry a lot of luggage. AVOID AIRBAG SUSPENSION LIKE THE PLAGUE!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Airbag suspension compressor worn out internally. Replacing with springs and shocks.
RDS wheel bearing tore apart at 220,000 km. Replaced.
Power steering leaking a little, will fix shortly.
RDS Door handle (inside) spring worn out, locks itself.
General comments?
It's quite a zippy car for station wagon, the 2.2 Litre Boxer is great and never dies.
Comfort is great, and sunroof is only a problem with drunks in the car as you can't lock the controls like you can with the windows.
Central locking is great, cup-holders a little small for a bottle of coke.
