"Reliable transportation that is tough to beat"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Exhaust sensor - only caused a "check engine" light.

No rust!

General comments?

This car is the epitome of reliable transportation. Piles of storage room, sure-footed in inclement weather (and the mud) this beast has been the best set of wheels I've ever owned. I love how high you sit when you are driving, and the ground clearance is very impressive. The speedbumps in my neighbourhood literally ripped the oil pan off my previous car. But they don't even come close to the bottom of this car. I LOVE THIS CAR! My advice: if you can buy one that has very little rust and passes saftey, DO IT! DO IT NOW!

Greetings I read your review and it helped me to make the leap and buy a 1993 loyale wagon, thanks. It was kept in a barn for the last four years. It had mice in every possible entry port. I got rid of them. It only has 65,ooo

original miles. I have replaced cv joints, exhaust system, put a different coolant in the AC and next is a major tune-up. But is an impressive little car. I live along the Brandywine river in PA. very winding and short steep hills. The loyale handles just great in snow and on ice. Again thanks for your positive review.
