1992 Subaru Loyale review from North America
"A dirt-cheap tank"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Radiator clogged.
#1 fan resistor blew.
Positive camber in front, so she eats tires pretty quickly.
Drips some oil, but nothing too bad.
Other than that, just usual wear items like brakes and stuff.
General comments?
This thing is unstoppable. An absolute tank in the snow or mud. I've taken her thorough terrain that was stopping big 4x4 trucks, and she just keeps going.
On the road, she's slow. You have to work her pretty hard to keep up with city traffic.
Lots of features for the age and cheapness of the car.
The seats are uncomfortable for long trips, but as long as you're not in the car for more than 6 hours without a break, they do the job just fine.
Tons and tons of space for it's outside size. It always amazes me how much stuff I can cram in this thing.
Overall, this is an amazing car. It's tough as nails, easy to drive, and can go anywhere. It's got its quirks, but it's a great car. I love mine to death.
