1992 Subaru Loyale review from North America
"Horrible, horrible, horrible!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Timing belt had to be replaced at 86,000 miles. It had been replaced 5,000 miles before that. (This cost around $500 only because I knew someone and it took 2 weeks to fix)
CV joints had to be replaced at 93,000 miles.
Front seats are starting to wear.
Vinyl at top of back seats is cracked and peeling off. Wears off more by the day.
The trunk leaks.
Alternator had to be replaced along with battery at 90,000. (These were both replaced once before already)
Headlight had to be replaced.
Seals around windows, hood, and trunk are breaking off.
Air conditioning has had to be fixed 3 times.
General comments?
The car handles well... which it should because it is AWD.
The gas mileage has decreased with age.
Muffler began rattling for no reason.
Gets you from point a to point b, but there is definitely nothing special about the car. There is something better out there. Don't make the wrong choice.
Don't buy this car!
