2005 Subaru Outback review from North America
"Reliable, good performance, and fuel efficient"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I've had no major problems with the car to this point.
The headlights went bad more frequently than I would have expected, but they were replaced for free under the 36k warranty.
The factory tires wear down a little faster than normal since the car is all wheel drive.
The only problem that I've noticed is that the rear end starts to sway when driving faster than 40 mph on ice when there is cargo or passengers in the back.
General comments?
The Outback has been a great car for winter driving. It's also fuel efficient (22/26mpg city/hwy) and handles really well. Big tires, high clearance, and all wheel drive make this a great ride off-road or in the snow. Folding seats in the back are also great for putting gear in the back.
All around great ride.
