1998 Subaru Outback Limited review from North America
"Excellent vehicle for safety, comfort, and economy"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
After 120,000 miles, had to replace the manifold seal.
General upkeep and repairs before that time.
Now, at 190,000 miles, check engine light is on.
General comments?
This car has really served us well. Has excellent pick up and stopping ability.
Definitely keep the original brand touring tires on the vehicle to keep the road traction and smooth ride.
Interior leather and seat warmers makes it extremely comfortable for long trips especially into the north.
Been up and down the east coast many times without any problems.
Still get head turning looks from other people passing by and a lot of compliments. The air scoop on the front makes it sporty but still practical. Have had several people wanting to buy it from us.
