1992 Subaru SVX LS-L review from North America
"AMAZING"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I feel preventative maintenance is the key, and that's no surprise to the my svx. If you love it, and take care of it... it will reward you with the same. I've always had it serviced at the dealer since I purchased it. Usual problems, but since I've had it, I've taken car of it whenever needed, timing belt,
windshield
wheel bearings,
brakes,
hoses,
window switches,
radiator,
leaking steering rack,
valve cover gaskets,
NO TRANNY problems though (knock on wood) I've only used genuine Subaru parts for everything! I know I'm missing a lot, but these are the keys.
General comments?
I love my SVX!
I've taken care of it, so it's returned the favor.
Sits a bit low
GREAT visibility
People STILL ask about it
SVX drivers see me and we smile and wave at eachother, I LOVE that!
With all of the little problems, I can honestly say, it's WORTH IT! All wheel drive has saved me a few times.
A bit spendy to repair, ins seems higher than most. I want a newer one, but can't find one... might get a 2.5 gt.
