The car is new so nothing has gone wrong, but there was one defect.
The clock resets itself to 1:00 every time the car is started after resting for about twenty minutes. I am going to take it in to the dealer to get it fixed.
The Suzuki Forenza is a nice small car that has a good combination of sportiness and practicability.
The interior is simple and has good fit and finish, with all the controls in easily accessible places. It comes with a CD player and a cassetee player with an eight speaker stereo system. It has power locks, power windows, speed sensitive power steering, and heated side view mirrors. The instrument cluster is simple and easy to read with great illumination for night.
The engine pumps out 126 horsepower which gives the Forenza plenty of power for passing. The engine runs quietly not creating too much noise at higher speeds.
For safety features the car has a driver side and passenger side airbags. The car can also come with anti-lock brakes.
Overall the car is a great buy for a smaller car. It has many of the features of other cars in its class, but cost a lot less. If you are looking at cars like the Ford Focus, the Honda Civic, or the Toyota Corolla, give the Forenza a look also.
I purchased a 2004 Suzuki Forenza in May 2004 and while I admit it is a nice car for the price I have run into a few problems. First problem was when my car started sputtering on the highway. It took over 2 hours for Suzuki roadside assistance to come get me. They then sent me to a dealership that doesn't even sell Suzukis so we had to leave that dealership and go to another. When I got to the dealership they told me they would have to keep my car overnight. Before I bought the car the salesman told me that if they had to keep my car overnight then they would provide me with a free rental car. First they denied me a rental car so I had to go speak to a manager. I finally got a car after a huge hassle. My car was fixed the next day. That was not the end of my problems. I live in the South where the winters do not get terribly cold. Recently temperatures got down to the 30's and we had a little ice. When this happened I discovered that my passenger side mirror had cracked right down the middle. I contacted the dealership first and was told it was not covered under the warranty. It is a defective mirror how could it not be covered under the warranty. Mirrors should be able to hold up in thirty degree weather. Shouldn't they? I then was able to get the person at the dealership to admit that he didn' t know whether it was covered or not and that he would have to contact Suzuki. I have called and left messages, but have not been able to get ahold of him again. I then contacted Suzuki and they say that mirrors are not covered in the warranty even though the mirror was defective. Maybe you should add this into your survey. I know one thing I will never buy another Suzuki.
