Car will not go into reverse easily will grind and hesitate. Transmission will pop out of fifth gear when I take foot off of gas and accelerate again
2nd Transmission is being put in tomorow.
The engine sensors (map, idle&O2) keep failing and check engine light is constantly on
The engine keeps reeving high around 2800 RPM
The steering column has a severe sqeak while the wheel is being turned.
This car has a nice and quiet ride. The stereo is nice and the bottom of the line S model is loaded out with options.
The car is very roomy on the inside with plenty of cup holders and a nice size trunk. The brakes respond great and has good ground clearence. However the vechile averages about 26 mile per gallon on the highway with a little city driving.
Still a Daewoo! Suzuki should have made GM do better quality control. The problems you have had sound like an American car not a Japanese car. Suzuki better get a handle on the quality issue before it ruins their company.
The bad thing is Suzuki does not have any control over this car. GM is using Suzuki to recoup some of its money it invested in buying Daewoo.
That's a lot of problems you're having. Maybe you don't take care of it? My car has 34k miles on it, about 6k miles on the track which I do circuit racing every weekend about 4 hours. Only problem I've had is with the clutch hydraulic system and it was replaced under warranty. This car goes through a huge beating and has had no problems.

Suzuki is not a paragon of reliability at the best of times either. I had a Swift GTi that was a piece of crap. The Forenza is more reliable than any other Suzuki on sale right now. Look at the other comments on here and you will find that the most common thing wrong with the Forenza is the Suzuki dealers and their technicians.

Not true. Suzuki owns it's own portion of GMDAT. GM's take is 50.9% and Suzuki's is 11%. Suzuki had their own agenda when they went in.
The cheap steel wheels seem to bend at the slightest touch, I have a 2004 and I have had to replace all four of the wheels/rims due to the severity of the dents, and I have never hit a curb in my life, potholes are dangerous to this car. Shortly after buying the car the fuel seal went bad and the whole car stank like gas for a month, that was covered under the warranty so I wasn't too upset, the only thing that was wasted was my time, but now that the factory warranty has expired I am pissed with every new problem. Also, my check engine light seems to come on every two weeks or so with yet another problem, I should have done more research before buying this car!
I had a 2004 which did great until 10000 miles.. then all the body hardware started falling off, like door locks falling into the door, gas cap wouldn't fasten, strong antifreeze smell in the morning, frequent stalling, etc. This was a very poor car.
