2005 Suzuki Reno Four door review from North America
"A bomb"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
This car has been a great disappointment!!!
I owned several used cars; including a Vega, (SUZUKI RENO = VEGA), and I was hoping buying a new car would keep me out of the shop.
I bought a 2005 NEW Suzuki Reno. I might as well have bought a used car.
First the head light was dim like an aged car. They fixed it. Then, the tires were bald. I was told the dealer does this to create a smooth ride. I had to replace an entire wheel, because it slipped down a minor hill, in a quarter inch of winter precipitation.
There were the recalls for the water pump and the heat shield.
Most of all I needed a new HEAD GASKET at 38,700 miles. Oh my word!!! I don't even say that! Very disheartening.
All I can say is; pay attention to your check engine light, that always comes on.
This light comes on all the time, every other month, for gas emissions. This happens so much, that one would disregard it.
...Don't...
Eventually; within 38,0000 miles you will have MAJOR ENGINE trouble... don't drive it.
IT IS JUST LIKE A USED CAR THAT HAS miles ON IT. except it handles nice. (I thought I was buying a Japanese car).
Don't buy one! Unless you want a used car.
They should have recalled it for THE HEAD GASKET... it would have been just!!!
