1992 Suzuki Vitara glk review from UK and Ireland
"Poor value utility vehicle.. continued"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Window motor switches on driver's door failed. I had to disassemble and clean contacts.
Tail door catch snapped due to being made of plastic and not designed for job being performed. Dealer wanted 50GBP for replacement. Repair was effected by gluing an aluminium backing plate to catch to reinforce it.
Headlight switch now failing, main beam sometimes goes off when signalling a right turn.
Ignition switch fails to start engine, occasionally and at totally random times, this as you can imagine is extremely frustrating as any attempt at fault finding is negated by it starting to work again.
The vehicle is still rusting pretty well.
General comments?
This is a further report on the original comments headed 'Poor value utility vehicle'
The electrical components appear to be extremely poorly manufactured and have been extremely unreliable compared with other similar aged cars.
All the previous comments are still valid.
I have been told a Pinin is a much better vehicle and shall be swopping soon.
