1992 Suzuki Vitara jlx 16V review from UK and Ireland
"A good if not to comfortable workhorse"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Drivers door latch.
Split coolant pipe
Cracked radiator.
General comments?
We bought the Suzuki as a replacement for an aging Citroen BX19GT.
Besides the few minor faults it has turned out to be an admirable workhorse.
Rather hard ride does not make for saloon like comfort, but it cruises easily at 70Mph on the motorway.
Suzuki spares are pricey, but we have found that pattern parts are quite resonable.
Engine is rattly when cold, but become quieter when hot.
At this time it seems as if it will last several more years the body is in good condition and the interior is wearing very well for what appears to be a typical seventies standard build quality.
