1987 Toyota 4Runner DX review from North America
"Old reliable, on-road or off!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The drivers seat has worn poorly.
Front manual locking hubs needed to be replaced.
Front drivers side CV shaft needed to be replaced.
Leaks oil.
Rear drivers side wheel cylinder needed to be replaced.
Minor shake at high speed (65mph).
General comments?
This vehicle thrives in an OFF-road environment. I've spent many days out camping in the twin-bed sized cargo area.
The seats are a bit small for me (5'10"), but it didn't feel really cramped inside.
Getting things out of the cargo area can be a little annoying.
