1995 Toyota 4Runner SR5 review from North America
"Junk!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Well where do I begin. In the past two years starting with 2002. My Engine blew up at 108,000 and I bought the truck Toyota Certified so I had a 100,000 mile warranty. Therefore I had to purchase a $5000.00 rebuilt Jasper engine. The mechanic said it was no fault of my own, the oil just disappeared out of the engine, it didn't leak, so it must have burned out while I was driving. I get oil changes faithfully every 3000 miles. Just this past Thursday my sending unit in my gas tank went up (which could have blown my truck up I was told) which caused all the power in my truck to go to the frame of the truck. It staled and then started smoking. Now I have another $1,500.00 bill I have to pay because I'm still paying on my truck (5 year loan) and I'm still paying for the $5000.00 engine I bought last December. UGH!! Never will I buy a Toyota in my life again. So all together I've probably paid over $30,000 for a 3 year old Toyota.
General comments?
Do not buy a 1995 or younger Toyota 4Runner!
