1986 Toyota 4Runner EFI SR5 review from North America
"I love this truck more than my family, Toyota is amazing"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The rear you joint on the drive shaft went out with the previous owner. The you joint would have only been $50 if the owner fixed it immediatly, but he waited. I had to have the entire yolk fixed and the you joint, it cost $300. The fenders have rust pretty bad, mudding and offroading makes it much worse. Other than that nothing besides monthly maintence, like fluids and oil.
General comments?
I love this car more than anything. It is dependable, looks amazing, and is a perfect small sized SUV. It is good hall with the fold down seats. The convertable top is great, but the bad things is it's a little hard to get off and you stuff can get stolen easy.
