My car is overheating I didn't realize that this was such a huge problem! If there is a class action lawsuit I would like to be involved! After reading this page my car has all the same symptoms as everyone else! I don't know what to do. This is my only car! It has served me decently since I first got it! I just recently " a week ago " replaced all the belts, pump, thermostat, etc... I am so frustrated these last few years I have sunk more than enough money to buy a good new used car 8K+. I don't know what to do! If anyone has any suggestions please send them to my email dieselm3@hotmail.com. I will most likely never, but a toyota again!
Belts, water pump, thermostat are all things you'd expect to change at around that mileage. I would recommend doing your timing belt as well a brakes (pads, lines). If you keep up with your preventative maintenance your 4Runner will last you forever.
