1983 Toyota 4x4 review from North America
"An extremely good purchase"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
This truck has been the best the only thing I had to replace was the clutch. other than that this truck has run like a true Toyota should run..legendary. of course it has the normal rust, but that is expected from where I live (all the roads are salted).
General comments?
Toyota's will get never let you down if you treat them right. I have an 1983 Toyota pickup 230,000 miles with a 22r motor and still runs like new. I also have a 1991 toyota 4runner with 240,000 miles with a sr5 V6 5speed standard. and runs like new, if you take care of them, they'll take care of you. Seriously if your Toyota is not lasting, its not the truck its who ever isn't taking care of it.
