Noisy brakes, booster changed.
Corroded brake rotors, was replaced.
Digital display blurred, was replaced.
Body and glass stained, was re-polished.
Rattling from boot sound, had to be fixed.
It drives well, but build quality can be improved.
Fuel consumption is on the high side, I get between 8 to 9 km/l max.
Dashboard is quite reflective, causing a fair bit or win-screen glare in sunlight.
Friend, seems like something is going wrong with your car. I never have such similar problem as what you have seen. The fuel mileage is far better than yours.
Well, if Toyota company is a 6 sigma company, then you are just getting one of the 3.4ppm defects. Really no luck guy!
The steering of my 10 months old 1.8 Altis vibrates once it reaches 110 mph. Did a high speed balancing to rectify the problem during 10 K services. At 20 K services the tyres were rotated and the problem comes back.
Services man did the high speed balancing again and the problem remains. This 1.5" tyres and rims comes together with the car, any comments?
I have the same problem as well. But driving after exceeded 120km/h, vibration disappeared. The service center advise me to do wheel balancing at 10Km. Now mileage is 12,000.
Friend, I found the solution to resolve this vibration problem. What you need to do is, send your car for a wheel alignment. This got to be an on-wheel alignment fix. I have this similar problem, after I've done this, the vibration disappeared!!

Hi, I'm from the Philippines. I bought a second hand Toyota Altis 1.6E, automatic transmission, 56000 km mileage, just a couple of weeks ago. My main problem is that whenever I drive in a rugged road with the speed of 60km/hr or up, I noticed it loses power and the speedometer goes to zero, and when I press the accelerator, the RPM goes wild. But when it reaches the smooth road, it goes back to normal. I consulted it to Toyota Service Center, they road test it and found no problem. Of course, because there was no rugged road in my area that we can run upto 60km.hr.
Somebody help me fix this problem.
