2006 Toyota Avensis T3-X D4D review from UK and Ireland
"Staggeringly good"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing whatsoever- yet. its still pretty new.
General comments?
What an absolute cracker! after driving this thing I can't believe anyone would even consider a petrol version. six speed box, stupendous amount of power, instantaneous pick-up, and it rarely drops under 50 mpg. comfortable and a good climate control system, handles pretty well for such a large car- not quite in the same league as the mondeo possibly.
Apparently chrysler is bringing out a new model to tackle cars in the mondeo/avensis class- it needs to be good its got a very, very tough act to follow.
A minor criticism- whilst the quality and fitment of the interior is fine, it just doesn't seem "special" enough for a car of this price.
I can't really find anything to fault with this car at all, the only thing really is that if it was my money I was spending (it's a company car) I would feel like I wasnt getting very good value for money. its too dear. but then quality costs I suppose. If you are after something in this class of car you won't go far wrong with an Avensis.
