1999 Toyota Camry LE review from North America
"I'm fearful of spin-outs!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
SCARY SPIN-OUT BECAUSE OF AN EMERGENCY BRAKING!!!
I just bought my 1999 Camry LE, with 133,000 miles on it. I was driving home on the highway... and a truck came into my lane forcing me to brake quickly.
The car spun 180 degrees around and I wound up on the highway facing traffic.
I'm VERY lucky that I had a second or two to get over to the median ---still facing the wrong way ---before the next oncoming vehicle.
It was a scary experience... as that has never happened before. What do you recommend I have checked out before I put the car on the road again?
Has this ever happened to any of you experienced Camry owners?
General comments?
I am worried about this car and spinning out.
Any advice will be appreciated re: my checking out brakes and tires and anything else which may be related.
