1998 Toyota Camry LE review from North America
"Long live Japanese cars!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The A/C smells really really awful at times.
A little rattling from beside the glove compartment box too.
AWFUL pickup.
Factory radio ate my cassette and got totally stuck, had to replace it.
VERY wide turning radius, my 87 Accord had nearly half the radius of this car.
General comments?
What a smooth ride! You can seriously fall asleep behind the wheel. The engine is so quiet. The factory speakers are decent, though you may want to upgrade them.
There is plenty of room, spacious gas tank, nimble handling.
N.B. - to change the coolant in the car, you have to remove that annoying panel in the front underside of the car. I just took mine off and threw it away, so I can access it later on. There is basically no point in having that piece of metal in the first place.
