1992 Toyota Camry XLE review from North America
"Econo-luxurious and so much more"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Window motors are rather weak. Running several at a time causes a lot of slow-down.
My mother took out a orange barrel with the left mirror. The front window on that side hasn't been the same since, but we have finally gotten it to line up again. Not the manufacturer's fault obviously.
Umm...hard to think of things. No engine/tranny trouble ever. The radio kindof sucks though, cassette player is on its way out.
General comments?
Definitely dependable, Toyota is the brand to beat there. 152k miles with no engine trouble? Remind me why I'm selling this thing!
Good power, 185HP and 195 ft-lb from the factory. Sport mode (alters shifting) definitely gives it some G-pulling punch. Downshifts are rather annoying though, if you're too sudden with the pedal.
Doesn't get much better than this. The Camry is famous for econo-luxury, but the power behind this V6 is nothing to sneeze at. Give it a shot, you won't regret it. I haven't.
