Car was bought used. Dashboard has lost it's shine and has a "burnt plastic" look due to sun exposure. I believe the Dashboards on 1993 Camrys were not built well enough to sustain heat damage from the sun.
Even after reconditioning the dashboard it still looks the same and is beginning to crack.
With High humidity where I live, the windows take a long time to de-fog, making it difficult to drive at night down dark roads.
Trunk leaks water when opened after rain or washing.
Another minor problem with my Camry is the electric windows and door-locks have had some problems, but they were fixed.
Finally, The engine takes a very long time to cool down after use (especially after driving above speeds of 60 MPH).
The performance with the V6 engine is great! It passes other vehicles at high speeds with ease.
The 4-speed Automatic transmission gears shift very smoothly, even when I hit the accelerator hard.
The car handles pretty good with a smooth and quiet ride and drives like new.
Sound insulation is incredible!
The Camry was built with a very strong body which makes me feel very safe inside.
I also own a camry it also has that power locks and power window problem. I just had my transmission replaced it had 96000 miles on it. other than that it is a very nice car.
I have a 93 LE with 190000 miles. The dash; as with the rest of the car, still has just as much shine as it did when driven from the lot. It just depends on how you take care of it.
