This is an amazing car quite, smooth, economical and very reliable. I have owned the more powerful ford and a commodore before this car. The camry for economy ride, smoothnesss and reliability is light years ahead of those makes. As a second hand car you may pay more for a Camry over a Commodore or Falcon, but it is money well spent.
Totally agree with your comments. You DO have to pay more for quality. Well, actually I though Camry's were cheaper than Commodore's or Falcon's. I used to be a Ford man, but now I am a Toyota (or Daihatsu) man, because these cars have real quality, and don't rust as bad.
I have just bought Toyota Camry 1994csi, and as with you guys I have to admit that they are good. I have only done about 4000kms in it since buying, and am very impressed with the fuel usage and the general running of the car. One thing I do warn about them though is to service them every 5000kms on the dot. As the oil does have a tendency to sludge up, which can cause problems with pressure etc.
