There are no driveability
issues. The only problems
that I've experienced so far
are a broken hinge for the
driver's side sun visor vanity mirror, and a malfunctioning right front power window switch.
So far I'm very pleased with my car. I am glad that I got
the 4 cylinder engine for
economy, maintenance, and
insurance concerns. This vehicle is very roomy and comfortable, and still gets
between 26 to 28 miles per
gallon average on a tank of gas. Be prepared to pay more
for these cars used, vs. a similar Korean or American car. I had to travel a 100 miles from my home in Charleston, SC to find one at an affordable price.
12/18/06: as the owner, this vehicle has been used on
a part time basis for it to have 55000 miles.
The window motor problem with rh front seems to be an
issue with 2001 Camrys, there are two other people that I
know who have this year model, that are having problems
with their windows operating intermitantly. I guess the window lift motors are defective?
I have the same problem with the right front window switch; the other switches are fine.
