1999 Toyota Camry review from North America

I change the oil every 3,000 miles

and drive over 20,000 miles a year

on my 1999 toyota camry le. I have

had no problems with the running of

the vehicle and the tranny and engine

are running at peak condition. Because

i spend money changing tranny fluid

every 30,000 to 40,000 miles and

same for the power steering fluid and

coolant.I also have my tires rotated

at 6,000 miles. But the bad part of my

car is the suspension in the front has

been subpar because of the new england

roads pot holes! I have had my CAT replaced because of the check engine

light that came on a 103,000 miles

and relplaced the IAC intake idle air

control valve. IF any one has had a problem with the car starting up in misty cool weather it is because of the

IAC 350 bucks! the dealer wanted 1,300 dollars for a CAT on my car. I elected to use a after market part and got it

installed for 650 dollars. But other than those two parts and some front suspension noise the car has about 110,000 thousand miles on it and will

go for many more.

I believe that the toyota camry is a

good car for the price that will ride

in excess of 200,000 to 300,000 miles.

If maintained properly you will get

your money's worth out of it. But

it is not intended as a fast car

just for a reliable quality with some

spunk and style to it, but was intended

to get someone to go 10 to 15 years

before buying another one.
