1999 Toyota Camry LE review from North America
"I would highly recommend the Toyota Camry for value, reliability and refinement"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I had to have the strut supports replaced at approximately 20,000 miles.
The check engine light comes on every few thousand miles, for no apparent reason. I ignore it, as long as all other gauges look okay, and after a couple of hundred miles the light goes off again. I think it's just a little electronic glitch affecting many '99 Camrys.
General comments?
I've had the Camry LE for 5 years now and have had only two major problems with it (see above).
The interior is a bit on the bland side, but the seats and carpeting still have a nice plushness to them.
The "Blue Dusk Pearl" paint on my Camry has held up well. When washed and waxed, it looks almost brand new.
