1999 Toyota Camry LE review from North America
"Phenomenal"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Not a thing! I'm still stunned.
General comments?
I have a serious aversion to dealer service departments and as such, saw very little of them during the six years and 300k miles I drove it. 99% were expressway miles.
My previous review re: Mk IV and Camry being best cars I've ever owned HOLDS.
My opinion: The V-6 definitely holds up better than the 4 cylinder which was available back when I bought this car. The overdrive allows it to turn much slower at highway speeds than the 4 cylinder offered as a cheaper option. The new 4 cylinder Toyota came out with (available on newer models) should be better. Value: Exceptional for the mileage I put on it.
