1994 Toyota Camry Vienta review from Australia and New Zealand
"Great family car, with a bit of pull!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Needed to replace inlet manifold gasket $400aud.
New water pump at another $400.
New timing belt another $300.
Central locking is playing up, but that may be the previous owners fault... this car had not been well looked after!
That said the interior trim is rather ragged and the roof lining is sagging.
General comments?
I'l start by saying I was pleasantly suprised when I first put my foot down in the Camry... the V6 has some pull. Obviously its still a family car and doesn't compare to say a 300zx's V6, but none the less if you enjoy a bit of power with safety and low running cost of a family car then the V6 camry is for you.
The interior is bland, but comfortable, the dials and gages are all easily in reach.
You sit quite low in the drivers seat so shorter people may have visiblity issues?
The car handles very well and the 4sp automatic is very smooth. The car also has huge boot, you could fit at least 6 15" subs in there!
She zips around town with ease and purrs along the highway, fuel consumption is fantastic for a 3L.
the only down point is it has a bad turning circle, and its terrible to park!
She's done me well, but I'm selling it for a Soarer... but I'm sticking with the Toyota badge!
