1990 Toyota Camry review from North America
"It is reliable, quick, and easy to maintain"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
My friend owned the car before me and the transmission was replaced at about 110,000 miles. It was a minor leak that I thought was easier to fix if the whole transmission was replaced. Of course normal wear and tear in the tires and brakes. I never made any major repairs since I bought the car though. It maintains seasonal changes very well and isn't affected by weather. The air conditioner isn't working right now, but I just need freon. The clutch is a little rough, but that is due to the age of the car. The clutch is the original clutch so its been around the block a time or two.
General comments?
I love this car. It seems like no matter what I do to it it still runs like a champ. I've hit grocery carts and ran over curbs and this mean machine still gets the job done. Not to mention the fact that the car is really quick. With the fact that the car is a manual transmission, I've buried the needle before. Its also fun to burn out because the car is so light. The car may not look to pretty, but it runs good. It's like a tank, I can hit anything with it and it won't hurt this beast.
