1999 Toyota Camry LE review from North America
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I have a 99 Toyota Camry with 90000 miles which ran without any problems since the day I bought
it, but a few days ago developed a CEL.
OBD2 diagnosis by AutoZone ->PO446 indicating
"malfunction exists in electrical circuit for the
vent control in the evaporative emission control system"
Having gone through the comments and suggestions posted on Car Survey, I decided to disconnect the battery for about an hour, replaced the PCV valve and tightened the the gas cap with no CEL at restart.
I sure hope the problem is permanently resolved.
I wish to thank Car Survey and all the participants for their suggestions which have greatly helped the general public to keep their
hard earned money in their pockets.
