What things have gone wrong with the car?

Until this time nothing, but now the car burns oil - about 1 litre every 6,000.

General comments?

I like to know why have this problem and what site I can visit to discuss this problem.

Si Plus, 1.6 L, imported from Italy, MFC at Burnaston Plant, year model 1994, bought May 1995.

As of today, 08/08/2003, with 115.000 Km at odometre, she never asked for anything.

Maintained regularly (every 10.000 Kms) on four different Toyota Centers with an overall cost of 1.498 Euros.

Driven both in and out of town, most of the time in High-revs and speeds around 140-170 Km/h, with zero oil consumption.

Powerful engine, a bit noisy, precise cornering, effective brake system, especially in down-hill braking with a chilling air condition (should have bought the clima version).

Right now I am thinking of changing rims from 14" to 15" but I could not find any table or reference of what actually should be the tire perimetre (the one directed by the manufacturer), so as the change will match as possible to the original data.

If your car is burning oil, it is recommended to replace your valve seals, because there is to much room between the seal and the valve stem.

I have a Carina E which also burns oil.

I have changed the valve seals, but there is no difference.

The car still burns oil, now more than 2 l per 10k

Can anybody help me?
