1994 Toyota Celica GT from North America - Comments

It runs so nothing.

This car makes me happy.

It has only a 1.8 engine but it drives like a rocket and it can get up to 130mph very easy. I have done it a lot of times and no other car with a 1.8 can do this.

Everyone tells me Toyota is nothing but an overated car, which is not true. Drive a Chrysler, especially a Plymouth Colt, then tell me what Toyota is!

I had a question, I have a 1994 Celica GT and I love it. But everywhere I go it tells me the only motor for the GT was the 2.2 liter 4 cylinder. I noticed you say that yours is a GT with a 1.8 motor too. I also have the 1.8 motor and had wondered if someone just took the GT badge and glued it on.

The problem with that though is that I have the GT suspension kit and many other luxury features not seen in the ST model, which Wikipedia and other sources will claim was the only model to have the 1.8L motor.

So I guess my real question is, is yours a real Celica GT? And if so, finally another Celica GT with the 1.8 motor in it other than mine!

I have driven an ST before and it's nowhere near par with the GT, albeit this was a 1990 Celica ST with a 1.6L 4A-FE for a motor putting down little over 105 BHP...
