2003 Toyota Celica GTS review from North America
"Like a bat out of hell!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing.
General comments?
The GTS is the best choice for racing. It is fast and fun, and has all the action a street racer should have.
The VVTI engine is awesome; it just stays above 6,000 rpm and just screams for mercy.
Despite of all the high engine revs, it's still very reliable, which is part of Toyota's priority.
The 6-speed is fun to use; it makes you feel like you're part of the car.
It rides a bit rough, but it makes sense the way the car was made. However it handles great.
One negative thing I have to say is that the brakes and tires wear out too soon. It may be because they're small.
The inside is not bad, the instruments are well organized and fun to use.
The seats are not comfortable, but the car was made for racing and not luxury.
I would get another one if this one got totaled.
