2000 Toyota Celica GT review from North America
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Needed a new water pump in 2006.
Needed a new A/C condenser summer of 2009.
My check engine light has been on for 3 years. No one can figure out what's wrong with it.
It has thrown codes for my O2 sensors, VVT (bank 1), idle control malfunction, and manufacturer control ignition system or misfire. It idles rough from time to time, bouncing from 0-1000 rpms then back and forth, then eventually leveling out.
At first it was once in awhile, now it's often and no one can tell me what it is. I have heard it was my computer, then my oil and the pressure valve, then my O2 sensors, etc. I would just love to know what's wrong with it so I can fix it, because I love my car!
I blew my 1st engine two years ago, and as soon as I had the rebuilt one from Carquest put in, the check engine light was back on in the first week.
